Dry Skin Care Regimen

Dry Skin Regimen | Daily products | Treatments | Peels

Transcript

Today I am going to give you a full regimen For Dry skin. I will create a full routine with some extra things like peels and specialty treatments if you need them. If not, then you can make this as simple as just using the proper cleanser and ending with a cream and an SPF.

Your skin care should always consist of morning and evening cleansing and applications. So NO skipping before bed. When you are sleeping you have a nice long, uninterrupted time to soak up all the goodness of your ingredients. Don’t miss this.

With dry skin we like to encourage the use of hygroscopic ingredients. These are ingredients that actually PULL water onto your skin so that you can have moisture.

We also want you to use acids, because too much dead skin on your face will

1. Make it dull and lifeless looking and

2. Will make it harder for your ingredients to penetrate and hydrate.

I will make sure your Dry Skin Regimen consists of everything you need.

**Remember when you are following your regimen, you want to cover your face, neck and décolleté as well** Make sure to treat all areas.

So let’s get your routine started. Its morning and the first thing you are going to reach for is our Antiaging Lactic cleanser which contains both types of ingredients your skin requires.

It has lactic acid to gently exfoliate and also hydrate the skin, along with hyaluronic acid to pull moisture to the surface. Our blend of organic essential oils will also help to calm and balance.

I highly suggest using a little net sponge while you wash your face to help remove the dead skin more easily. If you are more sensitive though, you can skip this and instead, use your washcloth to get some of the dead flakes off by gently buffing as you rinse.

Not everyone uses a toner, so if you don’t like them you can skip this – but if you love that extra feeling of cleanliness after swiping on a refreshing blend, then our complimentary Anti-Aging Toner is what you are going to reach for.

This too has lactic acid and organic oils, and it also has the benefit of Syn-Ake peptides to help with fine lines along with more hydrating ingredients. Let this air dry for a few seconds and move onto your treatments.

These are always in the form of a serum or thin liquid and should be applied first.

A few great options and uses would be:

Fade Bright – if you are dealing with freckling, spotting, hyperpigmentation or melasma.

Citrustem Potion – if you are looking for a smoother skin surface and more elasticity.

Syn-TC is another great potion to help stimulate collagen production. Use them together for great results.

High Octane Vitamin C is another great daily treatment. It is an antioxidant – and that is very important for protecting your skin from sun damage. One thing with C though is that it is an acid that is not hygroscopic and could potentially be a bit drying. To counter balance that you can add in a pump of our Nano Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Hyaluronic is very hygroscopic. It can literally hold 1000 times its weight in water. We add this ingredient into most of our creams, but if you need a bit MORE, … a pump of this is very helpful.

Now that your serums are on, give your skin at least 30 seconds to absorb those (a few minutes if you have the time) and then move onto your cream.

Don’t forget your eye area. We suggest our very emollient Platinum Eyes Restoration Cream at this point. Just dab a bit onto the full eye area a

We highly recommend our DermaSnap 8LM for all of our dry skin types. It is the most hydrating product that we make.

It starts with Snap 8 and Leuphasyl, which are 2 powerful injection alternatives that will help to help smooth your lines. And then adds in more peptides such as Syn-Coll and Matrixyl. Then there is a blend of over six ingredients that will hydrate your skin and seal in the moisture for many hours.

Another alternative for someone that isn’t interested in antiaging ingredients would be a blend of our Nano Hyaluronic Serum and our Pure Emu oil. Mix them together and apply for short and long term hydration.

Always end your application with a broad screen SPF. We recommend titanium dioxide and zinc as opposed to chemical sun screens. A bonus for you is that most SPF creams are very emollient. So applying this last layer will add even more hydration to your skin.

As I mentioned, evening is not to be skipped.

So before bed Wash again with your Antiaging Lactic Cleanser and then Tone if you wish.

I highly suggest re-applying all peptides that you have at this point. Most of them need to be applied 2x per day for best results.

Additional treatments like copper or Epidermal Growth Factors like our Regenerate, can be added at this point as well.

Eye cream is next.

Now, to help thin the dead tissues, stimulate collagen, and PUSH all of those treatments deep into the skin, it’s time for Retinol Molecular Serum. Retinol will take your dull, dry skin and transform it to a smooth, beautiful complexion.

This is a mandatory step for everyone. If you are sensitive start with the .10%, if not then the .20% will be a great place. If you are already using a prescription like Tretinoin, then this acid is most likely causing a lot of your dryness. Try alternating that with our Retinol to help minimize that.

Now I want to mention some acid peels that will work great with your dry skin.

As I explained above, lactic is an excellent ingredient to use because of its hydrating properties. It can also be applied as a weekly peel.

Our Lactic 50% peel won’t really cause any visible flaking in most people (which many people LOVE) – but it will still be able to smooth your skin. This is a peel that you can apply 1x per week or 1x every other week. After a few applications you’ll see your skin get smoother and also watch any spotting fade back. It’s an excellent choice.

If you are looking for something stronger and aren’t really worried about your dry skin, you can really use any of the alpha-hydroxy acids (like glycolic or mandelic) or even TCA.

All of them will make your skin temporarily dry as it flakes, but once the dead skin is removed your skin will be able to retain more moisture and your product ingredients will reach deeper in the skin. Win win!

The only acids I suggest you stay away from are the Salicylic and Jessner peels.

That is it. Super simple and easy to follow – just like any good skin care routine should be. Just choose your specialty treatments and the rest is stress-free because I already made all the choices for you.
